چکیده

Recently, a new biomarker of mosquito bite has been developed using human antibody response to salivary protein. One the proteins that tested is protein 34-kDa which refined Nterm-34 kDa peptide. This study aimed characterize peptide as potential antigen asses Dengue virus transmission risk. The sequence was analyzed several software predict characteristic BLASTP from Vectorbase and NCBI wa used check specificity IBIVU Praline do multiple alignment. IEDB (Bepipred Kolaskar & Tongaonkar antigenicity prediction) epitopes antigenic properties, lastly, ProtParam physicochemical properties. result showed specific Aedes aegypti at species level low conservation compared other in family. predicted be one epitopes. have molecular weight 2,092 kDa, unstable, hydrophilic. In conclusion, an for transmission.

Aedes aegypti D7 Saliva Protein Inhibits Dengue Virus Infection

Aedes aegypti is the primary vector of several medically relevant arboviruses including dengue virus (DENV) types 1-4. Ae. aegypti transmits DENV by inoculating virus-infected saliva into host skin during probing and feeding. Ae. aegypti saliva contains over one hundred unique proteins and these proteins have diverse functions, including facilitating blood feeding. Previously, we showed that Ae...

Characterization of dengue virus in Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus spp. of mosquitoes: A study in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan

Dengue is a vector-borne disease caused by dengue virus. According to the recent report of CDC that one-third population of the world are at high risk with Dengue fever. The prevalence of the dengue hemorrhagic fever was found more in tropical and sub-tropical regions of the world. Aedes mosquitoes was reported as the main cause of transmission of dengue virus. So the current study was planned ...

Dengue Virus Inhibits Immune Responses in Aedes aegypti Cells

The ability of many viruses to manipulate the host antiviral immune response often results in complex host-pathogen interactions. In order to study the interaction of dengue virus (DENV) with the Aedes aegypti immune response, we have characterized the DENV infection-responsive transcriptome of the immune-competent A. aegypti cell line Aag2. As in mosquitoes, DENV infection transcriptionally ac...

The Aedes aegypti Toll Pathway Controls Dengue Virus Infection

Aedes aegypti, the mosquito vector of dengue viruses, utilizes its innate immune system to ward off a variety of pathogens, some of which can cause disease in humans. To date, the features of insects' innate immune defenses against viruses have mainly been studied in the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster, which appears to utilize different immune pathways against different types of viruses, in ...

Evaluation of the Dengue NS1 Ag Strip® for detection of dengue virus antigen in Aedes aegypti (Diptera: Culicidae).

Dengue fever is currently one of the most important mosquito-borne diseases that affect humans. With neither vaccines nor treatment available, prevention of the disease relies heavily on surveillance and control of mosquito vectors. In the present study, we have evaluated and showed the potential use of the Dengue NS1 Ag Strip(®) for the detection of dengue virus (DENV) in Aedes aegypti. Initia...
